The breakfast is served in the restaurant! The staff are great, managed the parking on-site. The hotel is on a marvellous and stunning location next to Chaweng and Lamai as well as pool, Blue Monkey Bar, Restaurant and Beach.

Just a good pick for resting at all in Chaweng with definitely value for money. The swimming pools were nice, especially the one by the beach. Make sure to order a 6-seater buggy for more comfort with the kids.

We enjoyed the lovely beachfront with the kids, especially the vibrant Star Kids Club with great activities. The beach was pristine, and the breakfast spread had a fantastic variety-perfect for our family gatherings.
My kids wished for more engaging staff interactions in the Kids Club.

The rooms are immaculate and bright, equipped with a little balcony and an iron. The services are fantastic, including a good pool...

The spa and the salt water pool were excellent. Also the Tara restuarant is superbly sited within the resort complex and serves up good food.
The hotel has an old and tired feeling to it. The location is a bit out of Chaweng centre and you will need a taxi to get there. And be prepared to walk up a large number of steps to get from the beach to the main foyer.

The beachfront Star Kids Club is a great spot for families, and we enjoyed all the tasty food options. The pools are amazing, but the beach was a bit rough . Definitely check it out for a fun getaway!
Unfortunately, the ocean had strong waves. We found pebbles on the ocean floor, tough to walk around.

We had the Beautiful Guest room, and it was really nice. The view of the ocean was good, and the room was clean and quiet. Only downside was the air conditioning was a bit noisy. Pretty comfy though. Loved the breakfast spot. The staff were super friendly.

the beach was so good and the spa was excellent
it takes 10 mints to reach the "chawing" beach and all the shoping areas and coffee shops. the rooms are soo far from the beach with a lot of steps ups and douwns in the way.

The saltwater pool was very relaxing and enjoyable since it was right on the beach and overlooked the ocean. The room was very clean and comfortable, and everything from the air conditioner to the hot water worked.
The hotel is rather far from the shopping district and downtown area. The hotel is built on the side of a mountain, so be prepared for a workout! In the heat, it's a lot of climbing, and a bit more than what I consider enjoyable. Also, the hotel is facing the windy side of the island, so there was a constant gale that made swimming in the ocean tough.

I loved the beautiful beachfront access and the staff's friendliness. The breakfast buffet offered a vast selection, with fresh fruits and deliciously made-to-order omelettes daily. My room was spacious and kept clean. It was just a short walk to the beach. There were some issues. The room showed signs of wear, especially the towels and some toiletries seemed inconsistent. The children's play area was closed , disappointing for my family. The main pool needed resurfacing. We cut our feet a few times on the rough tiles. Despite having great dining options, some menu items felt limited for longer stays. A nice vacation, but some upgrades would make it really good.

We stayed at a Junior Suite which was perfect - spacious, conviniently located and always clean. The hotel staff was always helpful, careful and nice. The New Year 2011 event with fireworks and show was just brilliant. Not far, but not in the middle of a local walking street - there is a shuttle service every hour or taxi. Just to give a flavour - we extended our stay for two weeks extra. Unlimited Internet access at a reasonable price.
The internet service may be better. I have heard complains about staff's English language proficiency, indeed there is a bit, but if you use simple language this works well.
